4 Ways to Build Trust in a Relationship

Can you think of four ways to build trust in a relationship? What really makes relationships work are some good strong qualities. We may think that taking a much needed holiday would do the trick! But no, that is not true! It may help in the short term though!
Here are four ways to build trust in a relationship.
1. Honesty A good building block to create trust is being truthful with one another. No secrets. No hiding. Good old fashioned honesty is an important trust builder. Being honest is much easier on yourself than being dishonest.
2. Open Communication Allows a freedom between a couple. A loving atmosphere for nurture and growth. A happy place to be.
3. Respect A deep care and concern for each other. Honouring one another. A significant 'trust' builder. A relationship with a good amount of this is likely to be long standing.
4. Self Assurance When your partner makes a suggestion, listen well. But answer well too! In other words you do not need to be a 'yes' person all of the time. Saying 'no' may bring a balance that is necessary for you at the time.
Always be upfront with yourselves and with each other. 'To thine own self be true.' The rest should flow from there. There are always ups and downs in life. So too, in marriage or any other relationship. Be patient with yourself and with others. Forgiving of yourself and others. Always, always be ready to move onwards.
Forgetting what lies behind and pressing on to what lies ahead. ~ Proverbs~
